Description
Description: | CD31 or PECAM-1 is a glycoprotein expressed on the cell surfaces of endothelial cells and platelets. It plays an important role in cell adhesion. Anti-CD31 antibody is used to detect endothelial cells in tissue sections in applications such as measuring blood vessel density in tumors. |

Host Species: | Mouse |
Buffer: | Contains 0.1% NaN3 |
Formulation: | Concentrated hybridoma supernatant |
Stability: | The antibody is stable at 4°C for >six months or can be stored in working aliquots at -20°C (add 50% glycerol) for more than a year. |
Cross-Reactivity: | The antibody recognizes human CD31. Other species not tested. |
Specificity: | The antibody was carefully tested for its ability to recognize human CD31. It works well with paraffin sections. For paraffin embedded sections, boil tissue sections in 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min to retrieve antigens. The antibody also works in FACS sorting. |
